Malaga’s struggles in La Liga doesn’t look like abating anytime soon, after another defeat in the league. The latest loss came at home against Sevilla, who ran away with a 1-0 victory, thanks to Joaquin Correa’s first half strike in the Andalusian derby.
With the full complement of their Nigerian duo of Brown Ideye and Success Isaac, who came on as substitute in the first half, La Liga’s basement club has now gone 13 matches without a win.
It was also Malaga’s fifth consecutive loss, and sees them rooted to the foot of the table with no hope of leaving anytime soon.
For their Nigerian stars, it was another start for Ideye, who has started all Malaga’s game since his loan move in January, but this time he only lasted 76minutes on the pitch.

It hasn’t been quite the same for Success, but he did start his first game for Malaga, but was taken off after just half and hour.
The man on loan from Watford has only seen 46minutes of action, since joining the struggling outfit on loan.
FOUR-STAR GRIEZMANN, ATLETIC SINK LEGANES
Antoine Griezmann was the star man as Atletico Madrid comfortably saw off Leganes at the Wanda Metropolitano.
Griezmann netted four goals as Diego Simeone’s men convincingly defeated Leganes 4-0 at home.
After his heriocs the last time, when he scored a hattrick, Griezmann went a step further, making it back-to-back games in which he has scored at least three times.

With just seven points separating them from leaders Barcelona, the hosts went into the home hoping to pile even more pressure on Barca.
After a rather tense start, which saw the away side put up a fight, Griezmann put his side 1-0 up just before the half-hour mark.
He doubled their advantage nine minutes later, from an excellently taken free kick as Atletic went into the break two goals to the good.
The Frenchman completed his hattrick after the break, latching on to a lovely cross to head in his and Atletic’s third of the night, before capping his performance with a sublime volley after the hour mark.
A wonderful display from the 27-year-old and Atletic, who seal their eighth consecutive win in all competitions and sixth in the league.
That result means Atletic tightened their position in second, but are now within just four points of leaders, Barca, who have a game in hand, ahead of their explosive clash this weekend.
