National Junior Champion, Elijah Agada – 43kg told aclsports.com that he started Taekwondo at a very tender age. He disclosed this at the end of the National Junior Taekwondo Championship held in Abuja, FCT.

Agada stated that his father trained him for the championship adding that he looks up to national champions as role models.

He said, “I’ve been training since the age of four with my dad till today. I look up to the big champions in Nigeria they are my role model like 2008 bronze medal, Mr Yagazie Chukwumerije.

“I feel good and a great honor to be the champion of the – 43kg. It took determination and focus to triumph in the weight class”, he said.

“I’ll be going back to Benue state where my training continues. I don’t really need anything from my sister but encouragement from my family and friends”, he added.
