Team Nigeria is currently in 6th position at the ongoing African Games in Morocco. Nigeria has a total of 21 medals consisting of 4 gold, 5 silver and 12 bronze.

Nigeria’s Kalu King won gold in the men’s 55kg weightlifting even, the female basketball 3×3 got Nigeria third gold medal while the badminton Mixed Team won the country’s fourth gold medal.

Nigeria won four silver in weightlifting and two in table tennis while Taekwondo won five bronze medals, another four bronze medal in weightlifting, one each in table tennis mixed double and male basket ball 3×3.

In the men’s volleyball event, Nigeria came back from behind to beat Cape Verde 3-1 (21-25, 25-19, 25-19, 25-23) in a keenly contested match.
