Harry Kane scored twice as Tottenham earned a dominant 4-0 win over Huddersfield at the John Smith’s stadium.
Kane gave Spurs the lead in the 9th minute, after Kieran Trippier’s header set him through on goal, with the England international shooting past Lossl in goal.
Spurs doubled their lead eight minutes later when Ben Davies latched on to a loose ball before slotting into the bottom right corner.
It was 3-0 when Kane unleashed a belter of a shot with his left foot, which gave Lossl no chance at all in the 24th minute.
Laurent Depoitre came close to reducing the deficit when he rattled the Spurs’ post just before half time, just after Kane thought he had completed his hat-trick, but it was disallowed for offside.
Tottenham added a fourth through Sissoko in stoppage time to seal the win, after a rather dull second half, which both sides failed to create real chance.
Spurs have won their last six league away games, scoring 21 goals, breaking the club’s record for successive Premier League away wins.
The win moves Spurs to within two points of the Manchester clubs at the top of the Premier League.
