Chelsea striker, Alvaro Morata, could be facing an extended time on the sidelines due to an injury he picked on in the clash against Man City on Sunday.

Morata was forced off the pitch after just 35 minutes of play, before the Blues went on to lose to City 0-1 at Stamford Bridge.

The 24-year-old was withdrawn from the Spain squad for the World Cup qualifiers against Albania and Israel after scans revealed the former Real Madrid forward had suffered grade II hamstring injury.

There are concerns that the Chelsea record signing could be out until late November, with the club facing Man United on November 5.

The defending champions will be without Morata, who has scored 7 goals in his first 10 appearances for the club, when they travel to Selhurst Park to take on Crystal Palace after the international break.
