The road to 2018 FIFA World Cup continues for some European countries following the draw for the playoff on Tuesday. 2006 winners, Italy were drawn against Sweden, with the Azzurris set to be visitors in the first leg.
Elsewhere, Switzerland, who missed out on automatic qualification in the final round of matches during the group qualifiers after losing to Portugal, will face Northern Ireland, who are seeking for a fiest appearance at the world cup since 1986.
The other fixture sees Denmark up against Republic of Ireland, who will be away in the first leg, while Croatia will face 2004 European champions Greece.
The first leg ties will be played between 9 and 11 November with the second leg slated for 12 and 14 November.
