Nigerian internationals Kenneth Omeruo and Emem Eduok saw ninety minutes of action for their Turkish club Kasimpasa in their convincing 3-1 victory over Göztepe in a Turkish Super Lig game on Friday night.
The Istanbul-based side went into Friday’s game with a five game winless run in the league which has seen the team already grasping for safety in the early part of the season.
Kasimpasa however made hay while the sun shone in their Match Week 10 encounter at the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Stadium in Istanbul when they took a tenth minute lead over the high flying Göztepe side.
Emem Eduok was the provider for Bernard Mensah who gave the hosts a shock lead on ten minutes which they took into the first half interval. Former Kasimpasa midfielder Andre Castro Perreira however scored against his former employers just two minutes after the break to bring Göztepe level with his third goal of the season.
But Kasimpasa regained the lead six minutes after conceding the equalizer through Venezuelan Jhon Murillo before Strahil Popov made the game safe eleven minutes from time.
Omeruo was starting his fifth consecutive league game for Kasimpasa since making his debut against Galatasaray in September and has completed the full duration on each occasion.
Former Under-20 star, Eduok was replaced in stoppage time with defender Veysel Sari as Kasimpasa closed out only their third win in ten league outings.
