No fewer than fifty players participated in Rivers United’s Tuesday training session as the team continue to prepare for the commencement of the 2017/18 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season.
The team trained for about two hours under Assistant coach Joe Boma before a further 120 minutes after the arrival of head coach Stanley Eguma.
Majority of the players retained by the team (as reported here

Expectedly, there were many new faces among the over half century players. Among them were players with enormous top flight experience as well as those with zero top flight exposure.
After about an hour of physical work, the players were divided into two groups of “League players” and “Trialists and recovery group”. About forty-six of the players then participated in two separate 11-Aside matches under the gaze of first Boma and then Eguma.
