The President of National Olympic Committee of Kenya (NOCK), Paul Tergat says they have received the first consignment of the team’s kit for the upcoming Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast.
Tergat confirmed that the rest of the athletes’ kits will arrive early next month.
The former marathon world record holder who was elected to the role in September 2017 expressed happiness over the development.
“I am happy that the first consignments of the kits for Team Kenya for the Commonwealth Games have arrived and we hope that by the first week of February we should have received all the other consignments,” he said.
“We are indebted to ensuring that all the kits are available before the team travels so that we can make our sportsmen happy and motivate them to compete for our country.”
Kenya will be represented in 15 sports in Gold Coast and will be looking to increase their medal tally of 25 from Glasgow 2014.
The Games will take place from April 4 to 15.
