Newly crowned super heavy wrestler, Khaled Omar Abdalla has described his opponent Sinivie Boltic, 2010 commonwealth champion a great wrestler.
The Egyptian wrestler narrowly defeated Nigeria veteran wrestler, Boltic 2-1 points in the 125kg final at the just concluded African Wrestling Championships in Port Harcourt, Nigeria.
Abdalla who made his debut in the senior freestyle event dedicated his gold medal to his country Egypt.
The former junior champion in a chat with aclsports.com said “I’ve watched Nigeria’s Sinivie Boltic fight and all I’ll say is that he’s a great champion”.
“This is a great victory for me. Last year, I won a gold medal at the African Junior Championships in Marrakesh, Morocco. I’m proud that I’m an Egyptian and got a gold medal for my country at my first senior championships” he said.
The 125kg male freestyle weight category had Khaled Omar Abdalla (Egypt), Sinivie Boltic (Nigeria), Adama Tangara (Cote D’Ivoire), Anas Lamkabber (Morocco), Daniel Moseti (Kenya) and Mabubambo Reagan (DR Congo).
