The Federal Ministry of Sports Development has officially announced the postponement of the 2023 National Youth Games for a second consecutive time.

The 7th edition of the National Youth Games is scheduled for 20th to 30th September 2023 in Asaba, Delta state.

This was disclosed after a meeting between the Ministry of Sports Development and the Chairman, of Delta State Sports Commission, Tonobok Okowa in Abuja on Monday.

The Ministry stated that the change in date was to allow more time for the operationalization of plans towards hosting a successful youth games fiesta.

The Games is a talent hunt platform meant for young athletes who are under 15 years of age.

This year’s National Youth Games was scheduled for September 10th to 17th in Asaba, Delta state capital.
