Sergio Aguero was the star performer after scoring a hat-trick as Manchester City put six past Watford at Vicarage Road.
The Hornets were unbeaten going into the game, but were put to the sword by a City side that can’t stop scoring at the moment, inspired by Aguero and David Silva.
Aguero put the visitors 1-0 up after heading home a Kevin de Bruyne free kick, before he doubled the lead four minutes later, tapping in after a brilliant link-up play between Leroy Sane and Silva on the right.
Jesus added a third just before half time, though replays show the Brazilian was a yard offside.
After the break, and despite Watford starting on a positive note, it was the away side who continued to ask serious questions of the Watford rear guard.
Few minutes after the hour mark, defender, Nicolas Otamendi made it 4-0, as he powered home from a brilliant Silva cross.
Aguero completed his hat-trick nine minutes from time, following an excellent solo effort which saw him ghost past a host of Watford defenders before slotting past goalkeeper Gomes.
The rout was completed when Raheem Sterling dusted himself up to convert from the spot, after the referee awarded a penalty for a foul on the England international by Christian Kabasele late on.
The win moves Pep Guardiola side top of the PL table on 13 points, three ahead of city rivals United, who don’t play until Sunday.
