Six-time champion, Roger Federer kicked-off his campaign in the final competition of the season with a straight set win in over Jack Sock in London.

The 36 year-old Swiss tennis star defeated American, Jack Sock 6-4, 7-6 (7-4) to progress to the next round f the tournament.

Jack Sock, 25, was making his tournament debut and initially didn’t seem much of a problem for the World no. 2 especially in the first set. He however forced the 19-time Grand Slam champion to a tie-break in the second set, but a double fault from the American at 4-5 handed Federer a match point which he converted.

Federer last won the ATP Finals in 2011 and he will be hoping to add a seventh title to an already impressive season.
