A total number of 24 players are currently in camp ahead of the All Africa Men’s and Women’s Team Championships 2024 in Egypt scheduled for 12th to 15th February, www.aclsports.com gathered.
The badminton players have been training at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja in the last one month in preparation for the championship.
The team consists of 12 men, 12 women and four coaches under the supervision of head coach, Suleiman Tajudeen.
Topping the list of men players in camp is African number 1, Anuoluwapo Opeyori; Mutual Benefits silver medallist, Victor Ikechukwu as well as men’s doubles silver medallist at the 5th Mutual Benefits, Emmanuel Joseph.
Former African number 1 women’s player, Dorcas Adesokan makes a return to the national team, Mutual Benefits silver medallist, Deborah Uke; as well as 3rd Ikoyi Classics silver medallist, Sofiat Obanisola got invited to camp.
The head coach of the National Senior Team, Suleiman Tajudeen believes the athletes can make the country proud at the All Africa Men’s & Women’s Team Championships 2024.
Tajudeen told www.aclsports.com that the Badminton Federation (BFN) led by Francis Orbih opened the camp to put the athletes in shape.

He said, “Our level of preparation is very high. As I have said before, the athletes have been in camp since January and the best will be selected.
“I am proud of the athletes, their conditioning, training and other things are top notch. I am sure they will be ready to not just bring back gold medals but also make the country proud.”
