Despite seeing his side snatch a late win against Bournemouth at the Vitality stadium, Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola has been left fuming after  Raheem Sterling was sent off moments after scoring the winner.

City came from behind to beat the Cherries 1-2, after Sterling scored in the seventh minute of added time.

However, the England international was subsequently sent off, after receiving his second yellow of the game, following his first minutes earlier,  for celebrating with fans, leaving Guardiola frustrated.

“It is a good question,” Guardiola replied Sky sports club when asked if he knew why his player was sent off.

“I would like someone to comment, if you cannot celebrate with the fans the best solution is not to invite the fans. You can imagine how happy he is, how happy the fans are.

“We won, If we had not won or lost I would not have made the argument but I would like someone to tell me that.

“Teams who always have 65-70% possession always have the player sent off, perhaps someone can explain that to me one day.”
