The Bundesliga enters match day six, which kicks off when defending champions, Bayern Munich host Wolfsburg at the Allianz Arena on Friday night.
Bayern Munich vs Wolfsburg
The champions welcome Wolfsburg at the Allianz Arena hoping to continue to put pressure on early pace setters, Borussia Dortmund, who are just a point ahead of the Carlo Ancelotti’s side.
Wolfsburg began life under new manager, Martin Schmidt with a draw in midweek, but can they derail the march of Bayern and Robert Lewandowski, who scored five times against them two years ago?
RB Leipzig vs Frankfurt
Two sides with identical records so far in the league meet at the Red Bull Arena, but it’s the home side that will be hoping for a repeat of the result when Frankfurt last visited.
Leipzig were 3-0 winners when these two sides last met at the same venue, but are currently on a run of two consecutive league defeats, including a 1-0 loss to Augsburg in midweek.
Meanwhile, the visitors will come into the game in a confident mood following their win against Cologne on Wednesday.
Hoffenhiem vs Schalke 04
The match sees a clash between two of Bundesliga’s youngest managers, Julian Nagelsmann and Domenico Tedesco at the Rhein-Neckar.
Despite winning in midweek, solving their defensive frailties will be the major concern for their young manager going into the game against a team coached by his former classmate, Tedesco, who are looking to bounce back from their loss to Bayern.
Werder Bremen vs Freiburg
Relegation threatened side, Bremen hosts fellow strugglers,Freiburg with both sides hoping for a change in their league fortunes.
Just a point separate both teams, who teams, who sit 17th and 16th respectively on the league table.
Bremen, however, will be hoping that there is a repeat of the result when both sides last met, which ended 5-2 in their favour at the Black Forest.
Stuttgart vs Augsburg
Fifth placed Augsburg travel to the Mercedes-Benz Arena hoping to extend their unbeaten run against their host, Stuttgart.
The visitors are on a run of seven matches without a loss against their Saturday hosts, who have also lost three of their five league games so far.
However, the home side have won their only two home games, and will be hoping home advantage comes to the fore again when they entertain Augsburg, unbeaten in their last four.
Mainz 05 vs Hertha Berlin
With just a win in five games, Mainz are in need of a result and will be hoping for one when they host Hertha, who are unbeaten in their last three matches.
Mainz were victors when both sides last met, when a 1-0 win boosted their chances of Bundesliga survival last season.
Borussia Dortmund vs Borussia Mochengladbach
League Leaders Dortmund will put their defensive record on the line when they host Gladbach in the Borussen derby at the Signal Iduna Park.
This week has been a record breaking one for the Black and Yellows, as youngster, Christian Pulisic scored their 3000th goal in the Bundesliga, while their Dutch manager, Peter Bosz, became the first manager to see his side keep clean sheets in his first five league games.
However, it’s a derby, and the home side’s rear guard will surely be tested by a Gladbach side who have proven tricky visitors this season.
Hannover 96 vs Cologne
Hannover are one of the only three sides in the Bundesliga yet to taste a defeat this season, and they host Cologne, who have lost all their games so far, including the 1-0 loss in midweek to Frankfurt at home.
The hosts have started life in the top flight in brilliant fashion, following their promotion last season, which has seen them achieve their best ever start to a Bundesliga season.
For Koln, they need redemption and fast, if they are to avoid the drop and their search for their first point of the season takes them to the HDI-Arena, where their hosts remain unbeaten this season.
Bayer Leverkusen vs Hamburger
11th placed Hamburg travel to the BayArena well aware of their terrible record there, having gone eight matches without a win.
They take on Leverkusen, who are looking to bounce back from their 2-1 loss in midweek to Hertha.
For the visitors, having lost their last three consecutive matches, they do need to rediscover the mojo which saw them start the season brilliantly, winning their first two games.
