Reigning Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) champions Enyimba on Sunday wrapped up their preparations for next weekend’s Total CAF Champions League (CAFCL) tie against Rahimo FC with a 3-1 win over NLO side SKE FC in Aba.

Two times Champions League winners Enyimba will begin their quest for a third continental crown away to Burkina Faso champions Rahimo FC on Saturday and the People’s Elephant used the game against Port Harcourt based SKE to fine-tune their preparations.

Winger Reuben Bala continued from where he left off at the season-ending NPFL Championship playoffs when he put Enyimba in front in the game decided at the Enyimba International Stadium.

SKE levelled scores midway through the first half but Usman Abdallah’s Enyimba went back in front one minute later through winger Stanley Dimgba as the hosts took a 2-1 lead into the break,

The boys from SKE, a club campaigning in Nigeria’s third division put up a very competitive display against the first division champions but Enyimba’s quality shone through in the end as a triallist added one more goal in the second half.

Some of Enyimba’s new recruits including Austin Opara, Cyril Olisema and Victor Mbaoma were in action on Sunday.

Enyimba are expected to leave Nigeria on Thursday for Ouagadougou where they will face the Bobo-Dioulasso based Rahimo on Saturday.
