Nigeria’s 2018/19 CAF Champions League representatives Lobi Stars will almost be at their fullest strength since the start of this season’s tournament when they face Moroccan side Wydad Casablanca in Rabat on Tuesday evening.
The Pride of Benue have had to deal with injuries and most especially players’ absenteeism since the group stage of this season’s tournament commenced but have received some boost ahead of their fourth group game at the Complexe Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.
The Nigerians lost the reverse fixture 0-1 to Tuesday’s opponents in Enugu but have now welcomed two key members of the side ahead of the second installment of the double-header.
Defender Ebube Duru who missed the loss in Enugu ten days ago due to an injury has sufficiently recovered and is poised to take back his place while forward Sikiru Alimi who has not been available since the start of the group phase is back with the team.
Lobi Stars coached by Solomon Ogbeide arrived the Moroccan capital Rabat on Monday afternoon from Casablanca where they landed via Cairo, Egypt. After landing in Casablanca, the team then embarked on a 2-hour bus trip to Rabat and have trained on Monday evening.
Tuesday’s game will kick off at 8pm Nigerian time and will be officiated by Gabonese referee Eric Arnaud Otogo Castane who will be assisted by his compatriots Theophile Vinga and Angelo Malekou Mambana.
Lobi Stars are currently bottom of the Group A table with three points from their opening three games and cannot afford a loss in Rabat on Tuesday should they hope to progress from the group.
