Premier League champions, Chelsea have made an improved offer of £30million for Leicester City midfielder, Danny Drinkwater.
Two offers from the Blues for the midfielder have already been rejected by the Foxes, but the Blues are back with a third offer, according to Sky Sports.
The Foxes do not wish to sell the 27-year-old, and have made this known on a number of occasions, leading to the England international handing in a transfer request.
However, Chelsea are back for him, as they continue to look for a replacement for Nemanja Matic, who joined rivals, Manchester United, and see Drinkwater as a worthy replacement for the Serbian despite having signed Timeoue Bakayoko from Monaco.
Drinkwater, who left Old Trafford in 2012 for Leicester, was an important part of the Leicester side that shocked the footballing world when they beat all comers to the Premier League title in 2016, alongside N’Golo Kante, who now plays at Stamford Bridge.
Drinkwater featured 35 times in that record breaking campaign in the league, and has since gone on to represent England, with three caps to his name.
