Rangers head coach, Philippe Clement, is pleased with the form of Super Eagles forward, Cyriel Dessers, following his outstanding display in the side’s 6-nil win over Ross County at the weekend, www.aclsports.com reports.
Dessers, 29, continued his great start to the season with another double against Ross County in 65 minutes of action.
Speaking after the game, Coach Clement praised the efforts of the Nigerian centre-forward to become a better player and what he has done in the past few months.
“I am very glad about that with, for example the two goals of Cyriel [Dessers], I think it is a big difference from six months ago the way he runs now, how he finds the spaces,” Clement told the club’s website.
“It is difficult to take two players out to give credit towards that because they’re a lot of players making a good evolution in the last couple of months and we need to continue in that way and keep this hunger and desire to become better.
“Cyriel deserves it, he is doing a very good job. This is the best Cyriel that I have seen in his career. He is not 20 years old anymore, but he stays hungry to learn all the details, and you see in several details he is becoming better and better by doing it and by watching the videos and talking about it,” the Belgian manager concluded.
With his two goals at the weekend, Dessers took his season tally to five goals from six games in all competitions.
Dessers and Rangers have a huge test coming next weekend when they face their fierce rivals, Celtic, in the Old Firm Derby.
