Nigeria Professional Football League side Remo Stars are set to name erstwhile coach Daniel Ogunmodede as the new head coach of the side for the 2022/23 football season, www.aclsports.com has exclusively gathered.
Ogunmodede, who led the Sky Blue Stars’ promotion back to the NPFL last year, has been in Portugal with CD Feirense since the start of last season and has now returned to take charge of the team for next season.

Ogunmodede’s appointment was finalized after it became clear that Gbenga “Oracle” Ogunbote will not be extending the one-year contract he signed with the club before the start of last season.
A top source in Ikenne who also has close ties to coach Ogunbote has now informed ACLSports that the former Shooting Stars coach has left the side and Ogunmodede has been brought in.
“Ogunbote is going and Ogunmodede is back to lead the team,” began the source to www.aclsports.com
“Coach Daniel arrived less than 48hrs ago and has been presented to the players in a low-key ceremony,” the source added.
Remo Stars finished third on the NPFL log in the just concluded season and will be flying Nigeria’s flag in the CAF Confederation Cup next season.
Meanwhile, Ogunbote has been tipped to return to Shooting Stars following his exit from the Ikenne side.
