Nigerian winger Victor Moses may be on his way out of English Premier League side Chelsea on Transfer Deadline Day www.ACLSports.com understands.
The 27-year old featured prominently in the past two seasons under former manager Antonio Conte in an unorthodox right wing back position, winning the league title in 2016/17 but new manager Maurizio Sarri’s preference of a 4-3-3 formations means that such role may not be needed again.
Moses has featured as a right winger under Sarri in the pre-season matches he featured in, giving an inkling into how the Italian hopes to accommodate him in his playing philosophy.
However, Chelsea’s ability to hold on to star wingers Eden Hazard and Willian has cast a huge shadow over Moses’ participation in that position with Pedro Rodriguez and youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi their preferred back-ups.
The former Wigan Athletics winger was linked with a move to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Wednesday morning and talks of his exit have been fuelled on Thursday with the news of Chelsea removing Moses’ picture at the Stamford Bridge hoardings, replacing it with that of new goalkeeper Kepa.
