France international Ousmane Dembele forced a move from Borussia Dortmund to Barcelona this summer but only few details of the mouthwatering €105 million deal were release by the Catalan outfit.
However, while the 20-year-old striker is recovering from a successful hamstring surgery in Helsinki, Finland, Football Leaks, published the package that lured the player to Camp Nou following weeks of showdown with his then club Dortmund.
The report says Dembele would earn five times more than his previous pay, precisely €12 million per annum, up from the €2.4 million he earned per season at Westfalenstadion.
He could take home a €3.3 million bonus by end of the season should the Blaugrana win a treble, according to a clause in the said contract.
The report claims Barcelona paid €105 million up front for Dembele with the possibility of €40 million in add-ons.
The add-ons include an obligation for Barca to pay €5 million when the player reaches each of 25, 50, 75 and 100 matches played.
However, due to Dembele’s current injury situation which will likely keep him out of action until January next year, he might not be able to hit those match numbers by end of the season, summing up some losses for the player and his former club and some savings for Barcelona.
