“The players are hungry for glory at the Africa Para Games and players selected will give their best because we have quality players scattered across the country and others plying their trade outside the country too”.

Durowoju expressed happiness with the return of Wheelchair Basketball National Championship in the country. He attributed the success of Team Oyo Wheelchair Basketball to consistency and hard work.

He said, “I am very happy because it is neither by my power nor might but the Grace of God. We have been expecting this kind of National Championship for a long time and the players are excited action has returned to the Wheelchair Basketball team.

“The secret of the Oyo state wheelchair basketball team is consistency and hard work. The team has been together for the past six years and training together whether there are competitions or not.

“After this championship, the team will kick start its own training session before the African Para Games camp by the Federation”, he added.
