It was another weekend of football in various European leagues as two Super Eagles stars, Victor Osimhen and Mikel Agu, found the back of the net.

In the Belgian Jupiler, youngster, Osimhen. 19, scored his eighth goal of the season in just 14 games as his club side, Sporting Charleroi, recorded a 2-0 win over Gent.

Osimhen, who played for 90minutes was brilliant in that game, scoring his side’s opening goal against Gent, who had Nigerian duo of Anderson Esiti and Taiwo Awoniyi, on the pitch.
Elsewhere in Europe, defensive midfielder, Mikel Agu, showed why Super Eagles manager, Gernot Rohr, has continued to believe in him with a commanding performance.
However, while he put on a show for his Portuguese outfit, Vitoria Setubal, they were put 3-1 to the sword at Portimonense, with Agu scoring their consolidation goal on the hour mark.
Omeruo, Chukwueze continue La Liga brilliance
In Spain, Kenneth Omeruo continued from where he stopped, helping his La Liga club, Leganes, to yet another clean sheet, their second in the last three outings.
Omeruo’s five clearances, two aerial duels, interceptions and 100 percent tackles won helped Leganes to a goalless affair at an otherwise difficult Celta Vigo, playing from start to finish.
Still in the La Liga. Samuel Chukwueze, put in another great shift but his Villarreal side had to settle for a draw at SD Huesca.
For the 86 minutes he was on the pitch, Chukwueze, completed five dribbles and created one chance with one key pass before he was substituted in their entertaining 2-2 draw, while fellow winger, Moses Simon, was a spectator and watched helplessly as Barcelona tore into his Levante side at their own backyard.
That game ended 5-0, with Simon struggling for game time since his return from an injury.
In the Segunda division, goalkeeper, Francis Uzoho, failed to keep a clean sheet as Elche defeated home side, Rayo Majadahonda 3-1.
Defeats for Super Eagles’ Premier League Quartet
In the English Premier League, it was indeed a bad day at the office for the Super Eagles quartet of Wilfred Ndidi, Kelechi Iheanacho, Alex Iwobi, and ‘Oyinbo Wall’s very own, Leon Balogun, who all suffered defeats at the weekend.
It did start with the duo of Ndidi and Iheanacho at Selhurst Park, where they were beaten 1-0 by their hosts, Crystal Palace.
While Ndidi was on from start to finish, Iheanacho was a second half substitute, coming on for Demarai Gray on 73 minutes.
At the Amex stadium, Balogun enjoyed 90 minutes as Brighton & Hove Albion fell to the superior firepower of Sarriball and Chelsea in a 2-1 defeat.
Finally in the PL, Iwobi’s Arsenal had their unbeaten run ended at St. Mary’s. Despite completing two of three attempted take-ons, Iwobi failed the create a single chance in the 70 minutes he was on the pitch.

Troost-Ekong, Aina suffer narrow defeats in Italy
At Stadio Olimpico Grande, Aina played for 86 minutes but could not help his team keep a clean sheet against a Cristiano Ronaldo inspired Juventus side as the Portuguese scored the decisive winner in a 0-1 victory.
Aina had a very poor performance, failing to attempt a single tackle, aerial duel, and lost one hundred percent of his dribbles.
The other Super Eagles player in the Serie A, Joel Obi, was not listed for his side, Chievo Verona, who held their hosts, SPAL, to a goalless draw on Sunday.
Germany
Jamilu Collins, Paderborn
24-year-old left back, Collins, was in superb form for his German second division side, Paderborn. Playing the duration of their win against Dynamo Dresden.
Collins, who picked up a booking, won four interceptions, two aerial duels to help his side to a clean sheet, while showing his attacking instincts by creating a chance with one key pass in a 3-0 victory.
Israel
John Ogu, Hapoel Beer Sheva
Ogu’s Beer Sheva returned to winning ways with the midfielder on parade for 90minutes in a 2-1 home win against Hapoel Shmona.
Turkey
Henry Onyekuru, Galatasaray
Onyekuru was caged for 90minutes in Galatasaray’s 1-1 draw at Istanbul Basaksehir. It was his 14 outing of the season, with four goals to his name.
