There is no stopping Victor Osimhen in France as he continued his impressive form for LOSC Lille in the Ligue 1 on Wednesday.
Osimhen scored his sixth goal of the season to inspire Lille to a 2-0 win over Strasbourg as they moved to third on the log.
The Super Eagles forward put his side ahead just before the break when he slotted home a right-footed finish from the centre of the Strasbourg box following a quick counter attack.
He then turned provider in the second half as he set up fellow forward, Loic Remy, with a lovely through ball to double their lead and seal victory.
A man of the match performance from the 20-year-old, who has now taken his tally to six (6) goals and two assists in just seven outings this season for Lille.
Osimhen also created the most chances (3) in the match, two key passes and won two aerial duels.
Kalu off the mark for Bordeaux
Samuel Kalu has finally found his name on the score sheet this season after helping Bordeaux to a 1-3 win at Amiens.
Kalu scored the winning goal on 73 minutes to register his first goal of the campaign.
He was a handful for Amiens defenders who kept fouling him. Kalu completed the most dribbles (3) however in the game, and created one chance.
It was a tight game at Stade de Beaujoire where Moses Simon was caged for 90 minutes as Nantes narrowly edged out Rennes 1-0.
In Spain, Kenneth Omeruo and Chidozie Awaziem were on show but could not help Leganea keep a clean sheet.
Leganes were held to a 1-1 draw by Athletic Bilbao with Omeruo and Awaziem on from start to finish.
