England Survive Kosovo scare
England survived a scare from Kosovo after coming from behind to seal victory in an incredible eight-goal thriller at Wembley.
The visitors took a shock lead when Velon Berisha put them 1-0 up just within a minute after kickoff before the Three Lions turned the game around at the break.
Goals from Raheem Sterling, Harry Kane, an own goal from Mergim Vojvoda and a brace from Jadon Sancho saw England go into the break with a 5-1 lead.
Sancho’s goals were his first-ever goals for the Three Lions.
However, Berisha pulled one back for Kosovo after the break, with Vedat Muriqi reducing the deficit to two goals when he netted a third for Kosovo to bring scores at 5-3.
England would hold on for the win which sees them strengthen their position as Group A leaders with 12 points, three ahead of the Czech Republic, who have played a game more.
