Timothy Weah opened his French Ligue 1 goal account on Sunday against Caen, who were crushed 3-0 by PSG in the opening match day of the new campaign.
The 18-year-old striker’s goal came 23 years after his father George Weah netted his last goal for PSG in 1995 before joining AC Milan.
The pair George / Timothy becomes the second father and son to score for PSG after Jean / Youri Djorkaeff.
Youri is a former France international and member of the squad that won the 1998 FIFA World Cup. His father, Jean, played as a defender at PSG.
Timothy Weah joined the French capital club in 2017 and was promoted to the senior team a year later.
He is a USA international while his father is the current president of Liberia.
