[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Former African champions Enyimba look poised to return to their spiritual home ground in Aba, in time for the start of the next football season.

ACLSports scooped on Thursday afternoon in Aba that one of the final pieces of business to ensure Enyimba’s return to the city has been perfected – arrival of materials for laying of the pitch.

The 2015 Nigerian league champions have been away from their home ground since their last league triumph, wandering across eastern and southern cities of Umuahia, Port Harcourt and now Calabar in the past two seasons.

The construction company handling the project, Moni Michelle Sports Construction Company, same firm that handled similar projects at the Aper Aku Stadium in Makurdi and Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa received the materials on arrival from Europe, the much was disclosed to ACLSports.

Enyimba finished in 10th position on the league log last season, their lowest position in a decade and much of the failure was attributed to their inability to use their home turf, backed by vociferous crowd.

With this development, it is all but certain that the December date set by the club’s hierarchy for a return to the Aba Stadium is on course for actualization.

Your CommentAbia state government, please change enyimba roofing and build equal sitting house, not tall and short building, enyimba should be respected and enyimba stadium should be a place where super Eagles can come and ask of chance to play games like Uyo, Abuja and portharcourt stadiums respectively

I agree with you Godswill and I must admit I am not the most optimistic but with these pictures we got today, added to the assurances we have had during the course of the year. Maybe, just maybe the wait will soon be over.
