After about 4 months of inactivity, the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon are set to kick-off their France 2019 World Cup preparation with a four-nation China invitational tournament.
Unlike their fellow France-bound African sisters – the Super Falcons of Nigeria and Banyana Banyana of South Africa who have been busy with different tune-up tournaments, the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon will be playing their first tune-up game (since the 2018 AWCON in December) at the four-nation tourney with barely three months to the commencement of the global showpiece.
The four-nation invitational tournament which is billed for April 4th – 7th will feature Croatia, Russia and France-bound China as the Lionesses look to begin life under Coach, Alain Djeumfa who replaced 2018 AWCON Bronze winning Joseph Ndoko in January.
The Indomitable Lionesses will be making a second appearance on the World stage where they have been paired alongside Canada, New Zealand and the Netherlands in Group E of the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France.
