Kano Pillars player, Emeka Adigwe was on song as Nigeria bullied Kenya 30-14 in the loser’s match at the 2020 Africa Handball Nations Cup holding in Tunisia.
Nigeria stood their ground beating Kenya in the Hammamet Indoor Sports Hall, Hammamet after losing to Guinea in the classification match.
Emeka Adigwe who was voted player of the match displayed her level of leadership making a positive impact in the first and second half of the game.
The head coach of Nigeria senior handball team, Rafiu Salami told www.aclsports.com that the mission before the team now is to overcome Cameroon in the eleventh place match.
Salami said the boys felt bad losing against Guinea but had to learn their lessons the hard way.
He said, “It is unfortunate that we were not able to secure a slot but I know the boys have learnt a huge lesson at the African Nations Cup. Our next match is against Cameroon and the boys have to do everything within their power to beat them.
“The team was certainly not happy and we had to explain to them that every match is important and they responded by getting a well deserved win against Kenya”.
