Kingsley Okubuike has already taken his chance at club level in the 2018 season and the Anambra born player is determined to do the same on the international stage if given the opportunity.
Okubuike who is currently participating at the ongoing 4th Sam Ocheho invitational handball championships in Lagos said it has always been his dream to represent his motherland, Nigeria.
“It’s always been a dream of mine to represent Nigeria because it is my country, where I was born and raised. It’s one of the main things I dreamed about when I was a kid at Nnewi South Local Government in Anambra state”, he told www.aclsports.com
The ASPAC of Benin Republic player said, “If I get invited into the senior national team of the Nigeria Handball, I’ll put in more commitments”.
Commenting on the match between Ghana Navy, he said, “The match was not easy for I and my teammates but we had to beat Ghana Navy in order to have upper hand in the ongoing Championship because it’s a round Robin game. This is for us to have more score and points than other teams”.
He added,” The team expects much from me because I’m a professional and an invitee to the team. I have to put more effort as well as the mastermind the game so that we can excel”.
He revealed to aclsports.com that before moving to Benin Republic, he played for Kano Pillars and Kada stars of Kaduna, both in Nigeria.
