The head coach of Kano Pillars handball club, Solomon Yola said his team will not be a push over at the upcoming first phase of the 2019 Prudent Energy League in Abuja.
Yola told www.aclsports.com that the performance of his team at the 2018 league was poor but the state government has given them the necessary support to excel this year.
He warned other club sides to beware of Kano Pillars as they intend lifting the trophy.
“Our target is to be crowned champions this season despite having good teams in the league. The toughest games we had last season, were Niger united, Safety Shooters and Kada Stars and I assure you that all that will be corrected this season. Watch out for pillars this season”, Yola told www.aclsports.com .
He disclosed that Kano Pillars have beefed up the team with good and quality players.
He said, “During the 2018 Prudent Energy Handball League, our performance was poor, but we have started rigorous training already.
“I must commend the Kano State Government for their constant support; they gave us almost everything we wanted and we are prepared to take every advantage of it. As I speak with you, we have recruited good and quality players that will perform well this year’s league”.
