COAS Shooters Handball Club has qualified for the 2025 Ardova Handball Premier League. COAS Shooters beat Osun United 21 to 16 goals in the men’s final of the 2024 National Division 1 Handball League played at the indoor sports hall of Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City, Edo State.

The head coach of COAS Shooters HC, Emeka Nnamani told www.aclsports.com that qualifying the men’s team back to the Premier League is a huge success.

Nnamami revealed that the brain behind the men’s and women’s team is the Acting Director of Physical Training Nigeria Army, Brigadier General AR Bello.

He said, “First and foremost, I give thanks to Almighty God for making it possible for COAS Shooters to win the 2024 National Division One Handball League.

“I feel so happy and delighted because the victory was not an easy feat but God made everything work in our favour. If you recall, I was not in charge of the team when they went on relegation a few years ago but I give glory to God that I have led both the men and women’s teams back to the Premier League.

“If you want me to be honest with you, one of our biggest inspirations is the current Acting Director of Physical Training Nigeria Army, Brigadier General AR Bello. Since he took the mantle of leadership, he has shown interest in sports and also encouraged sportsmen and women.

“I want to thank the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja for his immense contributions in promoting sports during his regime,” he told www.aclsports.com

Nnamani explained that the team will add more quality players before the commencement of the upcoming season.

He said, “The next thing is to compliment on the success recorded at the Division 1 League by strengthening our squad before the commencement of the Premier League. As for COAS Babes, the technical crew will do everything possible for the team to maintain their status in the league”.
