Coach Mike Taangahar said Kada Stars and Kada Queens will pull some surprises at the second phase of the Prudent Energy Handball League in Lagos.
The former VFL Pfullingen of Germany player told www.aclsports.com that his teams performed well during the first phase in Abuja.
The ex international said, “We hope to pull up some surprises when the second phase resumes and no team should think we will surrender points during the league.
“In the first phase, Kada Stars and Kada Queens performed well based on our early preparations and the quality players we had. In fact, it was a very young side so there was room for improvement”.
Taangahar revealed to www.aclsports.com that the teams might not put up top notch performance in the second phase due to the fact that some of the players resumed late.
Mike Taangahar who also played for Maccabi Motzkin of Israel said, “Some of the players resumed camping late due to their education and this might slightly affect our performance because we have less than 10 days to harmonise but I am hopeful the players might be able to produce something.
“I am a very technical person and the players might find it difficult to interpret the technical input because of lack of time. I have not set any target for the players yet, but I am optimistic that we are staying in the Premier League”.
He disclosed that the teams are sticking with the same crops of players they paraded at the first phase of the league.
The second phase of the Prudent Energy Handball League is scheduled for 5th to 17th October, 2019 at Rowe Park Sports Centre, Yaba, Lagos.
