Coach Hatem Amro revealed that LifeCamp VC stands a better chance of qualifying for the Nigeria Volleyball Premier League next season.
LifeCamp VC is currently second place after the first phase of the 2024 National Division One Volleyball League.
Amro told www.aclsports.com that he was disappointed finishing second behind Nigeria Air Force (NAF) Rockets during the first phase.
He said, “It is good to participate in the league but I am a little bit disappointed because LifeCamp ought to be first after the end of the 2024 National Division One Volleyball League (first phase). We still have the chance to prepare and be ready for phase 2.
“If you look at our match against NAF critically, you will discover that we lost by 2-3 (major scores) to them. We both played in the Division 2 last year and we defeated them in the first and second phases of the league. I have learned from the mistakes in the first phase and I want to assure you that you will see a different LifeCamp in the second phase.
“Making it to the Nigeria Volleyball Premier League is not questionable; it is out of our minds because we are qualifying by all means. Our women’s team is in the Premier League and the men’s team is ready to join them. We have the backing and support of all the members of the club, they always cheer the team to victory whenever the team plays in the nation’s capital. We promise not to let them down whenever the league resumes”.
Amro revealed preparations for the second phase, urging players to be punctual to training.
He said, “I want the players to always be punctual for training, keep fighting and they should not take the opportunity for granted”.
LifeCamp VC won the 2023 National Division 2 Volleyball League title.
