The former African champion has put pen to paper on a five-year deal that will see him stay at his first home in seven years, in Leganes, until the summer of 2024.

The now 25-year-old spent his time at Stamford Bridge as a loanee, with stints in the Netherlands, Turkey, Spain and also in the English Championship with Middlesbrough.

However, after a successful 2018/2019 season in La Liga last season, making 31 appearances for Leganes with 30 starts, Omeruo must surely be excited to finally have a place to call home again.

Omeruo will wear the number four (4) jersey next season at Leganes and will resume training on Wednesday with the rest of his teammates.
