Kano Pillars defeated Safety Shooters 25-20 to remain unbeaten at the ongoing 2019 Prudent Energy Handball League in Abuja.

Kano Pillars and Safety Shooters who are arguably the best male teams in the league slugged it out at the velodrome on Day 9 on Wednesday night.

Kano Pillars ended the first half with one goal difference 11 to 10 goals before condemning Safety Shooters to their first defeat of the league.

The head coach of Kano Pillars, Solomon Yola told www.aclsports.com praised his boys for giving Safety Shooters a good fight.

Yola said his boys will not be carried away by the victory adding that they have to remain unbeaten if they stand a chance of lifting the league after the second phase

He said, “I am happy with the way my boys played yesterday, they made me proud. The win against Safety Shooters is a sign that we are ready to take over as league champions.

“The boys have to remain focused and approach other games the way they played Safety Shooters”, he added.
