The KickBoxing Federation of Nigeria (KBFN) have released a programme of activities it intends to undertake in the upcoming year 2024.
In a statement obtained by www.aclsports.com, the KickBoxing Federation of Nigeria (KBFN) will begin the year with the registration of state association affiliation from 8th to 22nd January in Lagos. In the month of February, KBFN plans attending the WAKO African Zone 2 Technical Seminar in Benin Republic and feature in the Nigeria Police Games in Ibadan, Oyo state
The 13th African Games comes up in Ghana from 8th to 23rd March followed closely by the 2024 Italian Open World Cup in Jesolo from 19th to 24th March. The National Technical Workshop/Anti-Doping for athletes, coaches and officials is scheduled for 25th to 28th April in Abeokuta.
Nigeria has indicated interest to participate in the WAKO World Cup 9th Turkish Open in Istanbul from 16th to 19th May and the WAKO African Open Cup Championship in Egypt from 27t to 30th June.
The 2nd Inspector General of Police (IGP) KickBoxing Championship is slated for 5th to 9th June in Abuja while the National Open Children/Cadet/Junior/Senior Championship/Training/Camp is happening in the Center of Excellence (Lagos State) from 3th to 7th July.
Abeokuta plays host to the 3rd DSP National Open Senior and Stakeholders Annual General Meeting (AGM) from 13th to 18th August. Nigeria is attending the WAKO World Children/Cadet and Junior Championship in Budapest from 23rd August to 1st September as well as the Uzbekistan Open WAKO World Cup in Tashkent from 23rd to 29th September
The country will witness the KBFN National Open Tatami/Ring Sports in Lagos State from 15th to 20th October. The biggest sporting event in Nigeria (National Sports Festival) holds in Ogun state by November and the elite KickBoxers are expected to participate.
Nigeria has indicated interest to feature in the WAKO African Championship/Qualifiers for IWGA Chengu 2025 in Johannesburg from 4th to 8th December.
