Super Eagles winger Daddy Moses Simon says he is “really happy” for signing a permanent deal with French Ligue 1 side FC Nantes, reports www.aclsports.com
Simon, 24, joined Nantes on a season-long loan deal from Spanish side Levante in July 2019 and impressed in the Yellow and Green colours of the Canaries in France during the season.
Nantes announced Simon’s new deal on Monday afternoon.
“I am really happy about it (signing a permanent deal),” says Simon.
“My effort did not go in vain. I’m really happy and excited for everything, especially the players.
“They cooperated a lot with me, so I am really happy and for the next season, I think my hope is to be much better than last season.”
Moses Simon had a return of nine goals and eight assists in all competition for Nantes, such that made it inevitable that the former KAA Gent winger would be offered a permanent deal by the French club.
He further thanked the team’s management and vowed to keep working to help the team further.
“I thank the players and the management. They did very well and we will keep working hard to achieve our goals,” he concluded.
Apart from winning Nantes’ Player of the Season award for 2019/20, Moses Simon’s headed goal against Nice was also voted as the club’s goal of the season.
