Najet Handball Academy ripe for trophies says Nnamani

The founder of Najet Handball Academy Zaria, Coach Emeka Nnamani said his academy is ripe to win age grade championships trophies.

The National male/female U12/15 handball championship will hold at the Giginya Memorial Stadium Complex, Sokoto state from 29th March to 7th March, 2020.

Nnamani told www.aclsports.com that the academy has been in existence for over a decade and have been supplying club sides (including Premier League teams) players for various leagues.

The national U19 coach revealed that his academy will participate in the male and female categories (U12/15) and sure of winning three trophies.

He said, “Najet Handball Academy Zaria is ripe for trophies; we have been waiting for this kind of opportunity and we are excited that it has come up in the Northern part of the country.

“My players have been training for quite a long time and producing players who have featured in the Prudent Energy Handball League and National Division one. This is a rare opportunity for the age grade players to play a national championship before graduating to the senior level.

“The players are hungry for victory and I see my team taking home at least three medals at the championship”.

He commended the leadership of the Handball Federation of Nigeria led by Sam Ocheho for reviving the age grade championship.
