The Nigeria Cadet and junior handball teams have resumed training ahead of the 2019 World Championships in Spain and Macedonia respectively.
The handball federation invited 20 cadet and junior players including some outstanding ones at the just concluded National U18 and 21 Championships in Lagos.
In a chat with www.aclsports.com, the head coach of the cadet team, Emeka Nnamani promised his opponents hell ahead of next month’s IHF Challenge trophy in Kosovo.
Nnamani said the will excel at the IHF Challenge trophy with the caliber of players the country is parading.
He said, “With the level of preparations, the boys will go far and shock the world. You know in the past, we did not have stable competitions where they boys can play but since the coming of Ocheho, some of them have played in various tournaments including the league and they are active and fit.
“The plans I have for the IHF Challenge Trophy is to attend and win”.
The head coach of COAS Shooters noted that some U18 and 21 players who excelled at the just concluded National Championships in Lagos have been given invitations to resume camp with other players.
He said, “Some of the boys who participated at the U18 and 21 championships played very fantastic handball and most of them will fit in. In fact, six of them have been invited to camp”.
