Nigeria Taekwondo Federation rolls out 2024 programmes

The Nigeria Taekwondo Federation has released a list of 17 events before the commencement of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games billed for July 26th to August 11th, www.aclsports.com gathered.

The 2024 Nigerian Taekwondo opens with Senior National Team Camp (Olympics) from January 13th to February 7th in Abuja. While the Olympics camp is ongoing, the NTF will be organising the 13th African Games National Trials from 26th to 27th January in a venue yet To Be Decided (TBD)

This will then be followed by the Olympic Qualifiers African Region (Senior) in Dakar, Senegal from 10th to 11th February. The Federation will be attending the US Open Taekwondo Championship from 17th to 18th February in Reno, USA.

The first National Referees Course in 2024 will be held in Abuja in a date yet to be decided by the Federation. The National Poomsae Open Championship will take place in Lagos also on a date yet to be decided. Thereafter, the National Junior/Cadet Open Championship comes up in Enugu state in April.

Nigeria will be attending the Egypt Open World Taekwondo (WT) Open in Cairo from 11th to 14th April while the 2nd President Taekwando Cup is the only National Championship happening in May. The Korea Ambassadors Cup makes a return to Lagos and will be held in June.

The 1st North Central Taekwondo Championship (Cadet, Junior and Senior) will take place in Makurdi, Benue state in August while the Kebbi Open Championship has been scheduled for September in Kebbi state.

Best of the Best and the Award Ceremonies will be held in Abuja in the month of December.
