Nasarawa United star Sunusi Ibrahim and Akwa United forward Mfon Udoh were on Friday evening rewarded for their goal scoring exploits in the 2018/19 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season by Eunisell.
Eunisell, a chemical and fluid giants last year instituted a scheme, named Eunisell Boot Award as a way of rewarding the highest goalscorer in the elite division of Nigeria’s football league.
Ibrahim and Udoh who scored ten goals each in the just concluded season were rewarded with two million Nigerian Naira being a sum of two hundred thousand Naira for each goal scored.
In a welcome address, the Eunisell Group Managing Director Mr. Chika Ikenga said the initiative is part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
Mr Ikenga explain that the major objectives of the Eunisell Boot Award is to help raise the standard of professional football league in Nigeria through incentives and awareness.
Ibrahim, who was pronounced the league’s official highest goalscorer by the League Management Company (LMC) told www.aclsports.com after the event
“This award means something in my life that I will never forget because I did not expect it. I will also like to thank Eunisell for the award and the money,” said Ibrahim.
