Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side Wikki Tourists have returned to their traditional home ground in Bauchi ahead of Sunday’s Match Day 14 clash with Sunshine Stars.
Wikki have played their home games since the start of last season at the Pantami Stadium in Gombe following renovation works at their Bauchi home but the works have now been concluded.
Coached by Ibrahim Garba, Wikki will now play their remaining home matches this season at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium in Bauchi, leaving Gombe for Adamawa United alone.
Captain of the team Mohammed Idris Guda expressed his happiness at returning home to www.aclsports.com.
“We are really excited and we are ready for the task ahead. We just want our supporters to make sure they are there for us.
“We must also thank the government for making it possible for us to return home after playing a lot of matches away because it was not easy playing home away from home. We are back now and we hope to make it count,” said Guda who is his team’s joint top scorer this season.

Wikki are currently placed 13th on the NPFL log with sixteen points; six clear of the dreaded relegation zone.
Sunshine Stars will be relying on a former Wikki man Suleiman Mohammed to make the return home a miserable one for the North Eastern side. Mohammed scored one of the goals for Sunshine in their 2-0 win over Jigawa Golden Stars in midweek.
