Former Nasarawa and Bayelsa United player Uche Ihuarulam is seemingly excited that two of his former teams are struggling in this season’s Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
Ihuarulam, in a post made on his Facebook account in the early hours of Friday made a subliminal reference to the two clubs he played for in 2022 as to them being destined for relegation this term.
Both Nasarawa United and Bayelsa United are in the relegation zones of Groups A and B respectively after the latter were hit with a three-point deduction by the Interim Management Company (IMC) after a match official was assaulted in their game on Sunday.
The striker who has had up to three stints at Bayelsa United represented the club briefly in the NNL last year after he had played for Nasarawa United in the NPFL. He was said to be dropped because of his injuries and being past his prime among other factors.
“My injury is gone, Satan shame unto you, I am a covenant child. Don’t try me, we no dey challenge but we dey observe,” Ihuarulam wrote on his Facebook page.
“I gave them two names wey go relegate but dem dey argue with me, now dem dey ask me how I take know,” he added.
Uche Ihuarulam further asked the clubs to go ask for forgiveness, if not, their relegation would be confirmed and what is worse could even hit them. The striker is without club at the moment.
Nasarawa United are yet to win a game in the NPFL this term and are languishing at the bottom of the Group A table with one point out of a possible fifteen while Bayelsa United now have two points from five matches to sit second from bottom in Group B.
Both teams are on the road to face South West oppositions on Match Day 6 this weekend – Nasarawa will face Shooting Stars in Ibadan while Bayelsa United will face Sunshine Stars in Akure.
