The underdogs got the game’s first goal but goals in either half’s stoppage time changed the fortune for the Buccaneers. It is the second silverware in seven months for Pirates after they won the Super 8 back in November.
Olisa, who has been on the sidelines since February, missed the entertaining final played at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium.
Sekhukhune – who have Nigerian forward Chibuike Ohizu on their books – opened the scoring after 12 minutes thanks to Sibusiso Vilakazi who capitalized on Pirates’ poor defending.
Pirates were given a lifeline on the stroke of halftime when Letsoalo was deemed to have handled in the box. Thapelo Xoki stepped up and calmly slotted home to send the sides level into the break.

With the game seemingly headed for extra-time, Pirates popped up with the winning goal in the fifth minute of time added on thanks to a smart finish from Terrence Dzvukamanja to seal a cup double.
In the league, Pirates also sealed qualification to the CAF Champions League for next season after finishing second behind champions Mamelodi Sundowns.
Ndah made just 17 appearances for the Bucs this season across all competitions due to injury – with most of the games coming before the turn of the year. Meanwhile, the NPFL winner will be hoping for a better outing next season if he remains with the South African side.
