Coach of Kenya women’s volleyball team, Paul Bitok has stepped down from his position following the Malkia Strikers’ success at the 2023 African Senior Women’s Nations Volleyball Championship in Yaounde, Cameroon.
Kenya won their 10th African title after defeating Egypt 3-0 (25-22, 25-20, 25-14) at the Palais Polyvalent des Sports Yaoundé on Thursday.
Bitok told www.aclsports.com that all attention shifts to the leadership position in the Kenya Volleyball Federation.
The Vice President of the Kenya Volleyball Federation promised to use with wealth of experience to transform the Federation under the new administration.
He said, “I will be retiring after the 2023 African Senior Women’s Nations Volleyball Championship; it is a send-forth for me as I got to the leadership position.
“I have been working with the national team but this is a special one. We won the title for the 10th time, qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympics and were elected as Vice President of the Kenya Volleyball Federation while I was in Cameroon for the African Championship. This is a special celebration for Paul Bitok and appreciate those who have supported me.”
