Plateau Peacocks’ goalkeeper, Toyin Yusuf is happy with her side’s performance against Edo Dynamos, but warned her team mates not to get carried away ahead.
Plateau Peacocks were held 21-21 against Edo Dynamos in the day 9 of the ongoing Prudent Energy Handball League in Lagos.
Yusuf said, “We had a good combination of pace, speed of our passing and quick combinations. Our movement was excellent.
“We were quite lucky as well because they conceded late goals in the second half, but overall I think it was a level of continuity with what we have shown against Edo Dynamos”.
The Nigeria U18 goalkeeper said, “The league has not been easy but with God, all things are possible. We lost a bit of urgency in the second half, but that is human. We controlled the game and remain serious.
She attributed her consistency to hard work and dedication.
“God is always with me any time I enter the court to play against my opponents, hard work and training is also responsible for my form”, She said.
Commenting on the Africa U18 Nation’s Cup, the Ondo born player said, “The tournament at Ivory Coast exposed me to another level of handball. It was quite exciting to play against other top countries.
“If given the opportunity to feature in the U20 I’ll do my best to serve my country in any given capacity”, she said.
