The head coach of Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) Spikers, Sani Mohammed said his side is determined to promote to the Nigeria Volleyball Premier League next season.
CNS Spikers defeated G-Ranks 3-0 (25-19, 25-23, 25-20) in their first match at the second phase of the 2023 National Division 1 Volleyball League in Kaduna state.
Sani Mohammed told www.aclsports.com that there are no pushovers in the ongoing National Division 1 League.
The National U21 Men’s Coach said his sides parade some of the best players in the country and will torment teams in the elite league.
Following his team’s win over G-Ranks, Sani Mohammed said “It was an interesting match; I thank God CNS Spikers made the day. The team still has more matches; we still have more matches to play in the second phase and the matches will be taken gradually.
“There is no underdog in the National Division 1 League; everyone wants to get a place in the Nigeria Volleyball Premier League and I believe no team is a pushover.
“My team possesses every quality to compete in the elite league based on the calibre of players assembled by CNS. Every other team in the premier league is good but when we get to that bridge, the team will cross it,” Sani Mohammed concluded.
The Chief of Naval Staff will face Kwara United Volleyball Club in their second match on Tuesday.
